I'm into the third week of my long holidays!
It's kinda bad, cause i havent get a job yet. sigh. economy really that bad meh? how come there're so many job postings then? too bad i'm not an accountacy or banking student nor a nurse, if not i'd have jolly well gotten a job already!
three weeks kinda passed in a whiz? here's an update of my bored yet happening life in chronological order. :)
had ambs retreat during the first weekend of holidays. not gonna blog much about it now cause not in the mood. hahahah. xiangwei, you'll have to come often and check if i've blogged. LOL :D retreat was.... tiring yet i'd a sense of satisfaction. And for the graduates' farewell gift, we got a little bear that wears ambs tee! Damn cute! (Honestly, this is what i've been hoping for ever sine i knew retreat existed. To the someone who read my mind, thank you!! :D)
And... I got this too...

I totally
LOVE this. It's now on my bedroom wall. :) So many memories flooded back. And i was really touched and surprised when i saw this. Thank you jeremy, thank you junior exco 08-09. You guys can really read my mind. :)
LOVE NP AMBASSADORS ALWAYS!
Wednesday was a day out with the girls to catch "He's just not that into you". So-so movie lah. but well, some of what that was portrayed in the movie is quite true in real life i guess. And then.. we went to Fashion Bar for a drink (Martinis damn cheap! Buy 1 get 2 Free! It's just 5bucks per glass!). I was hoping to go to LeBar, drop by and maybe catch jones & damon there.. but sadly i rmbed wrongly and LeBar is not located at Clarke Quay. Well, i shall go there some days soon! Then we went to Attica for free drinks. Admission was free also, cause it's lady night! I swear, this is so not me and it's my first time drinking and entering a club. I just stood there and watch ppl dance. hahahah. it's quite funny. I don't like clubs. Think they're too complicated and noisy. Pubs are not so bad. But anyway, I think i told some of my friends before, I rather go and eat supper than to spend my night clubbing or drinking. hahahahha. Okay lah, once in awhile go chill still acceptable. but not every week. It's just not me. :)
The next weekend was spent painting Melrose's board games corner with the ambs. awesome fun. great satisfaction also. I see the little kids there, i really miss my china kids. sigh. and looks like i'll never get to see them again. Volunteering is fun and you get to learn alot and it makes you happy too. Friends, if you have time, be a volunteer. :)

On friday night, some of the senior + graduated ambs went to geylang for dinner/supper. :D exciting and fun trip man. especially the educational tour! heh heh. I wanna go gelyang for durians next! Anyone wanna come with me?
Went for the e-awards concert.. and i saw a rainbow! very very faint though.

Was a not bad concert lah. See so many artistes in one concert. I think derrick ho improved alot! way to go man! :) And ahhui aka wu jia hui... Even though i don't know him personally, but I'm really happy for him. The few minutes encounter I had with him during the hill days, I really feel that he's one hardworking and humble guy. Personality wise, good. Talent wise, good. So way to go too! :)
Energy was awesome as usual. Ever since last year's 933's outdoor concert, i'm totally awed by their fabulous dancing & choreography. The new addition, Xiao Gang, was a correct choice man! Then.. it was Aska Yang! OMG. Totally.... awesome! (Awesome has become my fav word in the past few months. haha!) Brought back alot of memories... It's a pity he only sang one song.. his live is as good, if not, even better!
JJ Lin was.. awesome too. But I just don't really like him. So yea. no further comments. :)
Many people were there because of Show Luo (Xiao Zhu).. ahhahah, me too lah! Was quite far away from the stage, so can't comment if he's really good looking in person.. but his dancing skills are like WAHH. i was telling my friend.. visual wise, excellent. audio wise, no comments. hahahahahaha. (personal comments.) I really admire him alot!
Then it was batam trip which i already blogged about! The following day went for amb outreach duty at kuo chuan presbyterian high. Mobile pod was super cool (I forgot to take photo! argh!). Kids nowadays.. really plan ahead man. I'm there to give them some insights and tell them more about poly courses and life.. and they asked me about university stuffs! omg can.
Then last friday, went to work for Disney On Ice - Princesses Wishes..
AWESOME. FABULOUS. WONDERFUL. This is how the setting looks like.. (abit blur cause i took with my hp)

really damn nice. I love "Sleeping Beauty" story the most! Cause got a super gorgeous Prince Philip! hahahaa. But still, i like my Peter Pan! :D I really salute the performers. Not only do they have to skate and perform stunts, some of them have to wear heavy costumes, and they have to act and be in the character. How tough is that! I ever dream of becoming one of the skaters, but well, it will only be in dreams! HAHAHAHA.
Worked for almost all the shows except for Sat's ones till today, which was the last show.. looking forward to next year's DOI. hopefully, my peter pan will come back! hahhahahha!
Last sat was spent sleeping till late noon. wanted to visit NUS open house, but was just too lazy to go. Finally meet up with freda & flora..we went to the IT Show (super crowded and alot of ppl are buying things lor! again, economy where got bad man?! but spending money now is gooood, help in our economy! ) and then to catch Watchmen. interesting movie and i like the ending alot! I think overall, the script was well written, though a little draggy at times.
This week?
Think i'll be catching "my bloody valentine" tmr and going for suki sushi buffet on thurs! :D Wanted to watch "coming soon", but some friends gave negative feedback, so guess i'll give it a miss. Was just blog hopping just now (i'm seriously that bored) and i realised jiaxi had done whatever i'm going to do this week. his photos on suki sushi just makes me wanna go for the buffet straight away man.
Well, in the midst of the boring yet happening days, I'm doing my uni applications also (& applying for jobs!). essays are damn hard to write. sigh! Final sem results coming out on Friday! :) I'm looking forward to it. Good or bad, i know i've worked hard and give in my best. Just let me be able to get into local university, please!!
Ok this has been a super long post! This is what i do when i've nothing to do. (Or rather don't wanna do something like writing hard essays.) Oh, and last year today, it's my first day at mediacorp! memorable ahhhh. and i've yet to finish bloging about my hill experience. i'll blog soon.
be back soooon!
